Cross Stitch CalculatorPrivacy Policy
This site collects essentially nothing. Every calculator on Cross Stitch Calculator runs entirely in your browser: your stitch counts, fabric choices, and results never leave your device. They are not uploaded, not stored on any server, and not transmitted anywhere.
What this site collects
Almost nothing. There are no accounts and no sign-ups. The site has two kinds of forms: the calculators, and the Report an Error form.
The numbers you enter into the calculators are processed locally by your own browser and disappear when you close the tab — nothing typed is uploaded or stored. The Report an Error form also runs entirely in your browser: it only prepares an email for you to send, and sends nothing by itself.
This site does not set any cookies of its own.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any hosting provider, Cloudflare processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the pages and keep the service running. Those logs are Cloudflare's, governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy — this site does not keep its own visitor logs.
Analytics
No analytics software is installed on this site, and there is no advertising. If analytics is ever added, this section will describe exactly what is collected before it goes live.
Whatever the settings above, the numbers you type into the calculators are never sent to any analytics provider — they stay in your browser.
Email contact
The only personal information this site can ever receive is what you choose to send. If you email ianwelkins@gmail.com — for example to report an error — your message is used to read and reply to you, and nothing more. It is never sold, shared with third parties, or added to a mailing list.
Privacy questions
If you have any question about how this site handles data, email ianwelkins@gmail.com and Ian Welkins will answer it directly.
Frequently asked questions
Do you track how many people visit?
No. There is no analytics software on this site at the moment. If analytics or ads are ever added, this privacy page will be updated to say so before they start collecting anything.
Can you see what I typed into the calculators?
No. The stitch counts and settings you type go straight into the calculator running in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server, so there is nothing on my end to see.
What happens if I email you?
Only if you email me. An email to ianwelkins@gmail.com is used to read and reply to your message — nothing else. It is never sold, shared, or added to any list.
